Addiction and Trauma Recovery Through and IPNB Perspective

EVENT INFORMATION:

Date: Monday, 4/6/20

Time: 10-12:30 PM

FREE! 2.5 Social Work CE’s are available.

Substance Use Disorders and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) are common co-morbid disorders. Often, the recovery process for each can feel daunting or complicated. With more literature and research describing addiction as an attachment disorder, and PTSD as a healing process engaged with the safety of others, Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) is a theory and practical working model that can help professionals work with clients struggling with these disorders. This course will discuss how to integrate an IPNB perspective with your current skill set to help clients navigate addiction and trauma recovery.
