RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT AND SUPPORTING FAMILIES IN THEIR PROCESS

FREE! In-Person Workshop

This presentation discusses how to support individuals and their families entering residential treatment, reviews the general structure of a residential treatment program and what referring providers can expect both for individuals and the families, and explores strategies for supporting the individual and family in their next steps. Jack will share psychoeducation, case studies, tools to integrate into daily clinical practice, and facilitate discussions to provide opportunities for peer supervision.

As vice president of clinical services, Jack ensures the ethos of Turnbridge’s mission is carried to and thrives within all our programs. He also recruits and hires superb clinical talent from around the country. Additionally, Jack builds and develops relationships with Turnbridge partners through tours, conferences, and speaking engagements. He holds master’s degrees in accounting and counseling.

1. Understand the complexities of residential treatment for family members.

2. Empower families to take positive action while their loved one is in treatment.

3. Navigate challenges that may present within the clinical work.

continuing education by the New York State Education Department State Board for Social Work

as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers. 

ACE: Jumana Grassi, #1721 is approved to offer social work continuing education by the

Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.

Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial

regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be

accepted for continuing education credit. Jumana Grassi maintains responsibility for this course.

ACE provider approval period: 6/14/23-6/14/26. Social Workers completing this course receive 2continuing education credits.
