Do you feel inadequate when it comes to dealing with Substance Abuse?
When you haven’t gotten enough training on how to help, (most doctors and therapists haven’t) it can feel intimidating.
Graduate schools and PhD programs spend very little time on the topic of addiction. As a result, you might avoid bringing it up, fear saying the wrong thing, or give the wrong suggestions.
We can miss opportunities to make a difference or not be able to help save a life.
With some basic tools you can make this difference and get empowered to confront the issue with your clients.
In this two-hour workshop, Alison will teach you step-by-step effective strategie to address substance use.
Learn to motivate your clients to take the next right actions with you and outside of sessions!
This presentation is appropriate for clinical professionals, psychologists, therapists, counselors, and social workers.
